The general objective of economics (this subject) is to introduce students to the basic concepts and principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics and to help them understand how these concepts and principles related to the functioning of the economy as a whole. This may include topics such as supply and demand, market structures, economic growth, inflation, and unemployment. 

The goal of this module is to 

  1. Provide students with a foundation of knowledge that they can build upon in future economics courses, as well as in other related fields such as business, finance, and public policy.
  2. Provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to critically analyze economic issues and make informed decisions in their personal and professional lives.
